Design 4 Lowell: BEST OF LOWELL AWARDS

Lowell, MA - In 2012, Christian Hill Studios opened shop as an independent freelance design company run by Camilo Preciado. If you have spent any time with Cam, you have heard visions, ideas and projects that truly are game changers. His clients include One 27 Global, Babylon Restaurant, Cafe Pastiche, Time Out Eatery and Cafe, and most recently the Smokehouse Tavern; and those are just in Lowell.

Last year, Cam spent the year working various jobs to provide funding, all while building Design 4 Lowell Project (Design4lowell.com), an innovative, creative network filled with talented designers like the Merrimack Valley Sandbox Award Winning designer Markus Haala (WEBSITE: http://www.mhm-studios.com/) and world renowned Frank Cassaza who's work adorn beautiful spaces in China, Belgium, Italy, UK, and of course in Lowell (WEBSITE: http://eyeformation.net/). This method of uniting independent designers, web developers, photographers, and others is one of Lowell's first centralized, one-stop marketing shops that brings the best of the best to one location. With different people highlighted every month, Design 4 Lowell attracted the attention of The Lowell Sun, which portrayed Cam and his band of creative powerhouses as "designing the future of Lowell businesses."

First came the network which grew through word of mouth and social media. Then came birth of The Best of Lowell Awards, where efforts to encourage more businesses to update their branding, storefronts, and aesthetics were provided by rewarding those who had already achieved excellence in those target areas.

We worked with the Owl Stamp Visual Solutions, MHM Studios Printmaking, Vessel Vision Productions, and many others on the project. Many contributed time, services, products, consulting, and much much love. Cam hand delivered all of the awards with friends, often in the bitter cold, and spent many many hours updating social media, making phone calls, sending emails, and designing his life-defining work up to this point in his 32 year career. And after months of man hours, depleted funds, and dozens and dozens of new friends and partners, the vision finally came to life these past couple months. Our bright yellow and black decals can be seen on storefronts all around the city of Lowell.

What's next? The Winner's Luncheon has been set for March 13, 2014 at TreMonte Pizzeria from 12-2 pm. There will be an open bar and complimentary pizza (courtesy of Anthony, Angela, and everyone at TreMonte. THANK YOU!!!! We will not forget:) We will show off our new website, the upcoming micro ads currently in production, our planned app for the Apple and Android store, and a few other things we have under the hood.
